The original diary, donated by the Compton family is now held in the Local Studies Collection of Gosford City Library. Agnes Fagan is described as a well-educated, intelligent and mature woman who upon a three-week stay in Gosford in 1885 recorded her impressions and recollections. She visited the area again a year later and once again wrote down her impresssions.
