Exercise nº 1.-
a) I have read the 3/5 parts from a 360 pages book. How many pages I haven´t read yet?
b) There are 12 black sheep in a flock which represent 2/7 portion of the total. How many sheep
there are in total?

Exercise nº 2.- A rope’s roll of 60 m has been cut. Raúl has cut ½ of the total, Pedro cut ¼ of
the total and Juan 1/6 of the total. Which fraction of roll has cut? How many metres are still
having?
Exercise nº 3.- A rope’s roll of 30 m has been cut in equals pieces. If each piece is 4/5 of
metre, how many pieces have you got?.
Exercise nº 4.- Luisa has 2/5 Ana’s age. Ana has ¾ Silvia’s age, which is 40 years all. How old
Luisa is?
Exercise nº 5.- Adela bought a TV. She paid in tree times (installment). First time she paid 2/5
portion of the total, second time 1/3 portion of the rest and third time she paid 240 euros. How
much did she pay for the TV?
Ejercicio nº 6.- Write as a fraction the following expressions:
a) In a orchard there are 100 trees. It has been cut 40. Which fraction of trees there has been
cut?
b) In a flock there are 40 sheeps. Five of there are black. Which fraction from the flock are
blacks?
Ejercicio nº 7.- A water tank has 1 500 m3 of water. It has been used 3/10 part. How many
litres are still having?
Ejercicio nº 8.- A fruit seller has sold 2/5 portion of apples and he’s still having 75 kg. How
many kg did he have?
Ejercicio nº 9.- For making a cake Mary has used 3 packs of flour and 3/5 portion of another,
Gloria has used 2 packs and ¾ portion of another. If each pack weighs 1 kg, How much flour
has been used?
Ejercicio nº 10.- A shopkeeper sold three-fourth portion of orange’s load to a shop. Later on he
sold two-thirdth portion to another supermarket. Finally he’s still having 50 kg. How many kg of
oranges had he?
