God Continues to Give the Increase!"
Dona Adorno was baptized into
Christ in February. She had been
studying with Chris Fry concerningthe state of her soul. When she came
to realize her situation, she decided to
be baptized immediately!
You can see her thankfulness for the
Lords precious gift through her
rejoicing smile! We rejoice with her!
Jazmin Penayo is a friend of our
sister, Gina Vera. She had been
visiting our services for several weeksand also came to our church retreat.
After several studies and learning that
one must be INChrist Jesus to be
saved, she decided to be baptized! We
are thankful for her decision and to
have her as our new sister!
Kevin Arzamendia was baptized at
our church retreat. He is the nephew
of our sister, Carolina's Arzamendia. He has been around the church for
much of his life and just recently cam
to the realization that he needed to b
saved. He studied with Perry Hardin
Ramon Paredes, and Spencer Clark t
learn the Gospel plan.
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. - 1 Corinthians 3:6
In our last issue of the Paraguay Profile, we reported that God had given the increase by adding five new souls
to His church through baptism. In this issue, we are again happy to report that we now have three new brethren
who have answered the Gospel call. The church continues to grow in Paraguay because the seed is being sown
through the many evangelistic efforts the church is involved in, through the teaching efforts it emphasizes, and
through the example it exhibits to the rest of the community! Oh how we are rejoicing that souls are stepping oof darkness and into the shining light of His word! Please keep the church and all these new Christians in your
prayers that God will continue to provide the increase, as well as, their spiritual growth!

ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL RETREAT - March 18-20th. We had over 60 in attendance at our church
retreat held at a camp just outside of Asuncion. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious, the games were
fun, the lessons were encouraging, the singing was beautiful, and the fellowship was outstanding! So many thingslined up perfectly that many commented this was the best camp they had attended in years. The Paraguayan
members organized and executed almost every aspect of the retreat and a mission group from Freed-Hardeman
University directed the youth activities for Friday night. What a blessing to have such a wonderfully edifying event
for the church.
MISSION CAMPAIGN - a group of college students
from Freed-Hardeman University decided to spend their
spring break in Paraguay! They handed out almost 5000
flyers around the city, held devotionals in many of our
members homes, assisted the congregation in their church
retreat, and brought lots of encouragement to everyone
with whom they came in contact. Their efforts will have a
lasting impact on the many souls who were privileged to
meet them! They are (L to R) Michael Flesher, Maury
Yegros, Brian Davis, Kayla Rotz, Chris Wright, Hannah
Phillips, Becky Gardner, Josh Barber, Jim Gardner,
Helena Yegros, and Spencer Clark
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - The first week of January we began
to plan and prepare for our Vacation Bible School. CarolinaAchucarro, a faithful Christian who organized the VBS last year inJanuary, decided to take on this task again; so we encouraged her asshe made all the big decisions. She along with our youth group put onthe whole three-day VBS. The VBS was January 20th-22nd and eachday we had an attendance of 28, 36, and 48 children. We learned aboutthree Old Testament Stories and applied a special message each dayfor the children to take home and remember. The children came fromour own congregation, visitors of our members, from two orphanages, and from the children on the street corner in front of ourbuilding. What a wonderful VBS! Praise God!

LADIES TEAS
One of the goals our womenmade at the end of 2010 was for usto begin again our monthly teas thathad been halted for over a year!
Our purpose for these teas is to gettogether once a month to study aportion of Gods Word, to praytogether, and to fellowship with oneanother while enjoying coffee andyummy finger foods! These are veryspecial moments for the ladies toencourage one another and growcloser together in our relationships. We had our first Tea in December atCara Blackmers home that beganwith a Ladies Christmas Gathering.Januarys Tea was at the churchbuilding where we had a LadiesWorkshop, led by Vickie Fry, abouthow to prepare for and teach ourSunday morning childrens Bibleclasses. Sixteen ladies attended theworkshop and stayed for our Teagathering. Andrea Spradlin hostedthe February Tea in her home andtaught a beautiful lesson aboutfriendship. Twenty-four ladiesshared a delicious meal whilemaking cards for those in need.
Then in March, Mirta Vera, thechurch secretary, opened her hometo bring an encouraging lessonabout strengthening one anotherwith the strength of our Lord. It wasa wonderful day that twenty ladiesshared together! We love thesetimes together and cannot wait untilour next Ladies Tea in April!
