The 1980s saw the emergence of pop, dance, hip-hop, and new wave music, as disco fell out of fashion. Rock music still appealed to the vast majority of people.
Feathered mullets and crimpled hair stayed a trend during the 80’s

Fashion in the 80’s1980's fashion had heavy
emphasis on expensive clothes and fashion accessories.
Apparel tended to be very bright and vivid in appearance; women expressed an image of wealth and success through shiny costume jewellery, such as large faux-gold earrings, pearl necklaces, and clothing covered with sequins and diamonds.
Punk fashion began as a reaction against both the hippie movement of the past decades and the materialist values of the current decade.
Music Distribution- Music was put in cassettes in the
80’s. Starting in the early seventies, 3M Corporation started to make cassettes that were much better for musical use.
- The music sounded excellent on high fidelity cassettes and players.

Political occurrences In the 1980s' historical timeline, Margaret
Thatcher, Ronald Reagan, and Mikhail Gorbachev were the three leading names.
Margaret Thatcher reigned as the Prime Minister throughout the 1880’s in Britain. She was the only lady to ever hold the position and went on to become the longest-serving prime minister in the United Kingdom.
Ronald Reagan was the President of the United States for around eight years, spanning a majority of this era.
John Lennon, lead vocalist from the ever-famous and loved band Beatles, was shot dead by Mark Chapman on December 8, in New York City. The murderer later pleaded "not guilty" by stating insanity as the reason.
Hostages taken captive from the US embassy in Tehran were finally released by Iran on January 20, 1981 after a total of 444 days.
On January 20, Ronald Reagan was ushered in as the President of the United States.
