Ampliar Horizontes a Través de la Música es un programa educativo de la niñez temprana, diseñada por Young Audiences of MA. El programa semanal, para niños jóvenes, se centra en utilizar música para enseñar habilidades leer (la fonética, rima, los ritmos, y los sonidos de las letras.) El programa también provee de profesores en la sala de clase el entrenamiento y las capacidades necesarios integrar música con la intención educative en su enseñanza.

Expanding Horizons Through Music is an early childhood music and literacy program designed by Young Audiences of MA. The weekly program addresses educational needs of young children by using music to teach pre-reading skills (phonics, rhyming, rhythms, letter sounds) as well as socialization skills. The program also provides classroom teachers with the training and skills needed to integrate music with educational intention into their teaching.

Young Audiences of MA is a non-profit organization that brings arts education programs to children through performances, workshops and residencies. Contact: (617) 629-9262, www.yamass.org.

Gail Zarren is Young Audiences’ Program Director for Expanding Horizons Through Music and for Healing Arts for Kids. Ms. Zarren has developed and implemented arts-in-education programs for 25 years in schools, hospitals and homeless shelters.

L iz Buchanan is a family musician, songwriter, and educator in her third year as a teaching artist with Expanding Horizons Through Music. Some of the songs on the enclosed CD are from Liz’s albums for children, copyright 2010 & 2013, Antelope Dance Music,!antelopedance.com

Renee Marrone is a Boston-based musician, songwriter, and music/theatre teacher. She earned her undergraduate degree in Expressive Art Therapy from Lesley University.
