INTRODUCCION
• Desde la antigüedad hay una deseo de captar la realidad
• La pintura occidental ha tendido a un creciente realismo(desde Giotto a los hiperrealistas)
• La fotografía surge como síntesis de dos experiencias:1-descubrimiento de que algunas sustancias son sensibles a la luz.2-descubrimiento de la cámara oscura

ORIGEN
• 1-las observaciones sobre sustancias fotosensible se remontan a tiempos de la Antigüedad. vgr: al retirar un cuerpo dejado durante algun tiempo sobre una hoja verde, se conserva su silueta.– En 1663- Robert Boyle descubre que el cloruro de
plata se ennegrece al exponerse a la luz, pero lo atribuye a una causa errónea: La oxidación.
– En 1757, Giovanni Battista demuestra que ese efecto se debe a la acción de la luz

ORIGEN
• 2-La cámara oscura se atribuye a Mo-tzum (S.V a. de J.C.). También lo advierte Aristóteles (S III a.de J.C) y el erudito árabe Ibn al Haitam (S.X d. J.C.)
• Pero la 1ª descripción completa se debe a Leonardo da Vinci (S.XVI)
• Durante el S.XVIII, se populariza y perfecciona, convirtiéndose en un instrumento de dibujo.

NIEPCE• El creador de la fotografia es Joseph
Nicephore Niepce (1765-1833). Obtiene las primeras imágenes positivas directas utilizando placas de peltre(aleación de cinc, estaño y plomo) recubiertas con betún de judea y fijadas con aceite de lavanda. Impresiona en 1826 lo que se considera la 1ªfotografía de la historia.
• A su procedimiento lo denominó Heliografia.• Entre las dificultades de su procedimiento: la
enorme cantidad de tiempo de exposición necesaria(5 o 6 horas)

DAGUERRE• Louis Daguerre(1787-1851).Pintor y
empresario. Perfecciona el invento de Niepce y lo patenta en 1839.
• Crea el daguerrotipo (láminas de cobre plateadas y tratadas con vapor de yodo).
• Consigue reducir los tiempos de exposición entre 15 y 30 minutos
• Obtiene una imagen apenas visible que luego es revelada con vapores calientes de mercurio y fijada lavando con agua caliente y sal.

FOX TALBOT
• Fox Talbot (1800-1877) aristócrata y cientifico.
• Experimentó con papeles impregnados en cloruro de plata. A su procedimiento lo denominó calotipia.(1835)
• Podía obtener un número ilimitado de copias a partir de un solo negativo.
• Dificultades: baja calidad de la imagen

• En 1851 lo inventa Scott Archer y GustaveLe Gray
• Permite imágenes nitidas como el daguerrotipo y reproducibles como el calotipo.
• Hace posible exposiciones mucho mas breves(unos segundos)
• Dificultad: necesita llevar un pequeño estudio detrás
