ANUNCIO DE TALLEREl taller busca reunir historiadores de la educación de los países caribeños así como los de otras regiones y continentes. Invitamos a los interesados a presentar avances de su investigación actual sobre historia de la educación, así como sobre las conexiones y relaciones educativas entre el Caribe y otras partes del mundo. Esperamos que las respuestas dialoguen con los debates metodológicos e historiográficos de la historia de la educación. Son bienvenidos trabajos con niveles de análisis local, nacional o transnacional.
La conceptualización del Caribe como categoría analítica histórica.
Teoría y metodología de la historia de la educación en el Caribe.
Trayectorias transnacionales de educadores en el Caribe.
Transferencias transnacionales de pensamiento pedagógico: el Caribe en el mundo.
Pasados comunes y divergencias históricas en la educación de una región pluriétnica y diversa: el Caribe anglófono, francófono, hispanohablante y de habla holandesa; el Caribe insular y el Caribe continental.
Cultura escolar y formación ciudadana en la historia de la educación en el Caribe.
Temas posibles
OBJETIVOEl Objetivo del taller es proveer un espacio de encuentro de investigadores de una región que no está del todo integrada a sociedades nacionales de historia de la educación, con el fin de inspirar investi-gación nueva y creativa a partir de la comunicación entre los especialistas.
El taller se propone fomentar la conversación entre historiadores de la educación de la región. No sólo busca mejorar una perspectiva comparada en el campo sino también crear una red de investigación entre especialistas de la región Caribe con los de otras partes del mundo.
Favor de enviar sus propuestas de ponencias (300 palabras) junto con un breve resumen curricular en cualquiera de los tres idiomas del taller, a cualquiera de las direcciones de contacto a más tardar el 31 de Agosto de 2015.
20 a 25 propuestas presentadas por los especialistas seleccionados.

WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENTThe workshop proposes to bring together historians of education from the Caribbean countries and those from other regions and continents. We invite scholars to present their current Research on the Caribbean History of Education, the connections and relations-hips in education between this región and other parts of the world. We encourage proposals that grapple with key methodological and historiographical deba-tes in the field. Local, regional, national and transna-tional levels of analysis will be welcomed. .
The conceptualization of the Caribbean as analytical historical category.
Theory and methodology of the History of Education in the Caribbean.
Transnational trajectories of educators in the Caribbean.
Transnational transfers of pedagogical thought: the Caribbean in the world.
Common pasts and historic differences in the education in a pluri-ethnic and diverse region: the French, the English, the Dutch and the Spanish Caribbean; the insular and the continental Caribbean.
School culture and citizenship formation in tthe history of the Caribbean.
Possible themes included:
GOALThe goal of the workshop is to conduct small meetings of researchers in a región that are not fully supported by national societies in the History of Education for the purpose of inspiring innovative new research from the communication between scholars.
The workshop proposes to build up a conversation between scholars from the region. It not only aims at enhancing a comparative perspective but also at creating a wider research network among scholars from the Caribbean region an other parts of the world.
Please send paper proposals (300 words) and a short CV in any of the three languages to one of the four contacts. 31 August 2015.Selected participants will be contacted by 15 October 2015.
