Elena Mir nació un verano cualquiera de los años ochenta en Valencia, a orillas del mar Mediterráneo, algo que ha marcado su vida, creando en ella una fuerte atracción por estar siempre cerca del mar. En esa misma ciudad creció y cursó sus estudios en la facultad de Bellas Artes, que completó en la Winchester School of Art del Reino Unido y trabajando en estudios creativos y agencias de publicidad, como directora de los departamentos web y multimedia.

En la actualidad, Elena dirige su propio estudio, Sr.Pulpo, además de realizar trabajos de diseño gráfico, web y multimedia, pero también encuentra tiempo para llevar un blog sobre moda, algo que le apasiona y le viene de familia.Como buena creativa y artista, Elena también dedica su tiempo a los papercuts, las instalaciones, la fotografía, la escultura y la pintura. Toda una artista multidisciplinar que queríamos presentaros, y no hemos encontrado mejor forma que realizando un reportaje con algunas de sus ilustraciones y diseños.

A nosotros nos cautivó ese toque naïf y orgánico de sus dibujos, y cómo juega con las acuarelas, creando magníficas texturas con unos simples trazos.

Elena Mir was born one summer of the 80’s decade in Valencia, at the Mediterranean coast, a very important detail in her life, the reason of her attraction for being always close to the sea. In this city she grew up and studied Fine Arts at the University. Later on, she completed her formation at the Winchester School of Art in the United Kindgom, and also working in creative studios and media agencies, directing the web and multimedia departments.

Actually, Elena manages her own studio, Sr. Pulpo, and works in graphic, web and multimedia design. She also has time to write a blog about fashion, something she’s passionate for, and a familiar heritage. As a good creative and artist, Elena also spares some time to papercuts, installations, photography, sculpture and painting. A real multidisciplinary artist we wanted to introduce you, and we have not found a better way to do it than through a report of her designs and illustrations.

We loved the naïf and organic touch of her drawings, how she plays with watercolors, and creates wonderful textures with simple strokes.
