WORKING WITH THE BLACK SHEEP

Public Art Programme Exhibition: When East Meets East.

How do we show our global audience the landscape is changing? That the fashion face has evolved? And that the financial world is transforming it’s direction?

A bespoke event running in a series of East London museums highlighting both the historical relevance of East London in the culture of the UK and also the relatively new creative and business hubs of East London of which NJAL & KPMG represent, the “When East Meets East” exhibition will highlight and cement both KPMG’s and NJALS’s standing in these arenas.

KPMG Runway

Mercedes Benz has shown that corporate business can certainly create a stronghold in the creative industries with the global Mercedes Benz Fashion Weeks officially sponsoring no less than five international fashion weeks from New York to Istanbul.

The ability of fashion to creatively draw people together and the business world’s knack for making things happen a “KMPG runway” would be the ideal opportunity for KMPG, in unison with NOT JUST A LABEL, to anchor itself as the Mercedes Benz of the emerging designer world.

WORKING WITH THE BLACK SHEEP

NOT JUST A LABEL & KPMG Animation Video

The beauty of an animation is that no live shooting is required and therefore scripting allows for a greater scope of possibility.

Likewise as no real objects are used in the production the ability to create a more imaginative pieces are possible.

A series of animations to go alongside the textual content of the KPMG section of the NOT JUST A LABEL website will help our international designers to visually grasp the content but as a creative audience any visual accompaniment to text will help to encourage designers to use the site as well as draw the information they need from the site.

Example Video 1: Bitcoin Animation & Example Video 2: Mastercard Animation

Ideas

• Explanations of key terms such as business plan, cash flow etc. explained using fashion tools. For example pattern cutting scissors snip the screen away to the next shot.

• Akin to Example Video 2 an animation of a designer using the NOT JUST A LABEL x KPMG section of the website.

• Animation explaining what the collaboration is using caricatures of famous fashion designers and business figures.

WORKING WITH THE BLACK SHEEP

NOT JUST A LABEL & KPMG Mixed Media Video

Mixing media while slightly more time consuming allows for more creativity in post production as graphics designers can create all the surrounding content at this stage.

It also allows for more freedom for one piece of filmed footage to be used across multiple subject areas.

Together with NOT JUST A LABEL a competition can be run to design universities and schools to create areas of the animation and thus promoting the collaboration across our digital platform of over 1million readers.
