TwentyEighth Sunday in Ordinary Time| Vigésimo Octavo Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario

Many are invited, but a few are chosen.

These are the words that our Lord spoke to

us in today’s Gospel.

God will always call out to us, even at our

worst times. But only those who have ears, ought to

hear his calling. No one is a saint for we are all sinners.

But, we do have the gift of conscience that our Lord

gave us and, with that gift we are able to choose right

from wrong. Choosing right, is to choose Him. And

choosing Him, is to receive Christ. Everyone who

listens and learns from the Father, receives Christ

through the Holy Spirit and is saved eternally. If we

listen with our spiritual ears, we will hear God’s

calling. We must continue to work for our salvation

through prayer. We must glorify and fear the Lord. We

must pray for one another, so that we too may enter the

kingdom of Heaven. For your own sake and salvation,

close your eyes and listen to God’s calling. God is

calling out to you to carry out the mission of the good

news. You have a choice; which one will you choose?

Muchos son invitados, pero algunos son escogidos.

Estas son las palabras que nuestro Señor nos habla en

el Evangelio de hoy.

Dios siempre nos llamará, incluso en nuestros peores

momentos. Pero sólo aquellos que tienen oídos, deben

oír su vocación. Nadie es un santo porque todos somos

pecadores. Pero, tenemos el don de la conciencia que

nuestro Señor nos dío y, con ese don somos capaces de

elegir el bien del mal. Elegir bien, es elegir a El. Y

elegir a El, es recibir a Cristo. Todo el que escucha y

aprende del Padre, recibe a Cristo por el Espíritu

Santo y es salvado eternamente. Si escuchamos con

nuestros oídos espirituales, escucharemos la llamada

de Dios. Debemos continuar trabajando por nuestra

salvación mediante la oración. Debemos glorificar y

temer al Señor. Debemos orar unos por otros, para que

también nosotros podamos entrar en el reino de los

cielos. Por tu propio bien y salvación, cierra tus ojos y

escucha la llamada de Dios. Dios te está llamando

para llevar a cabo la misión de las buenas nuevas.

Our dear Fr. Raul will be leaving on Monday to

Columbia. Please pray for him so that he may

get to his destination and return back safe and

sound! There will be no daily mass, except

Tuesday at 7:00 pm and Wednesday 11:30 am.

Weekend mass will remain the same.

A huge thank you to those who donated $5 for the chicken dinner for those in need.

We were able to give 150 dinner plates to the Blanchet house and 150 dinner plates to the St. Francis house as well.

Baptism Class November 2nd will be the last baptism class for the rest of the year. There will be a series of classes prior to Baptism or if you are going to be a Godparent to someone in the upcoming year. We will no longer do pre-baptismal classes each month.
