LA CHICA TRIPOLAR. AUTORRETRATO[ Boli bic / Ballpoint pen ]

Mi nombre es Cristina, mis amigos me llaman Cris, y yo me llamo Crispis. Nací en Canals (Valencia) en 1985. Todo lo que ha ocurrido durante los 30 años que han pasado desde entonces me ha llevado a dedicarme a la ilustración y, desde hace poco, al tatuaje. Se podría decir que el realismo a boli bic es lo que caracteriza mi obra, aunque las acuarelas o la pintura digital también formen parte de mi vida. A continuación podéis ver un pequeño resumen.

My name is Cristina, my friends call me Cris and I call myself Crispis. I was born in Canals (Valencia) in 1985. All that has happened during these 30 years led me to dedicate myself to illustration and -not long ago- to tattooing. We could say that the realism in ballpoint pen is typical of my work, although watercolours or digital painting are also part of my life. Here you can see a small summary.

I don’t know if this work has got a title, but I would call it “The Lady of Nature”. I had the great chance of buying it and I have to say that it’s when you have it physically when you can appreciate the talent behind the illustration. In it, the originality lies in the mixture of nature with a feminine figure, and you need lots of creativity to make such a balanced combination. Thanks, Cristina, for sharing your art and this wonder.

No sé si tiene título esta obra, pero yo la nombraría La dama de la naturaleza. Tuve la gran oportunidad de adquirirla y hay que decir que en físico se aprecia el talento que hay detrás de la ilustración. En ella, la originalidad se encuentra en la mezcla de la naturaleza con un aspecto femenino, se precisa de una gran creatividad para hacer combinaciones tan equilibradas. «Querer algo que no puedes tener es desesperante. Incluso frustrante. La impotencia consume tus huesos al saber que no podrás hacer nada o que nada de lo que hagas existirá. He aprendido a aceptarlo, admito mi fatalidad, o esta injusta casualidad. justo en este momento estoy reconociendo el fin de mi causa, de mi antigua cruzada. Ahora solo puedo admirar desde lejos, contemplar lo imposible. En retrospectiva, considero que es mejor así, y por eso sonrío a medias. Querer algo que no puedes tener es insoportable, jodidamente inaguantable. Aceptémoslo. Cuanto antes».

«Wanting what you can’t have is distressing, even frustrating. The impotence consumes your bones as you know there’s nothing you can do about it or that nothing that you do will ever exist. I’ve learnt to accept it, I admit my misfortune, or this unfair coincidence. At this particular time, I’m accepting the end of my sake, of my ancient crusade. What remains now is just admiring from afar, gazing at the impossible. A backward glance: I believe this is way better, that’s why I’m half-smiling. Wanting what you can’t have is intolerable, fucking unbearable. Let’s face it. The sooner the better».
