Drawing upon recent archaeological discoveries and new digital techniques of representation, the participants will bring our knowledge of these outstanding domes up to date. The focus will be on their structural inventiveness, the shift in their construction material, and the incremental complexity in their decoration, as well as their architectural and urban significance.
