ORL REFINERIES ORL REFINERIES

Year: 2006

Construction Material:Cement

Concrete

Water Flow: 8,000 m3/hr

The task was to replace a 70-year-old atmospheric cooling tower with a new, more efficient tower. A two-cell 14m X 14m tower was designed. As part of its deliverables, YWCT provided the refineries with a scale drawing of the concrete cement structure, and detailed drawings of the relevant piping.

DANIELI ENGINEERINGDANIELI ENGINEERING

Year: 2009

Construction: Hand Laid FRP

Water Flow: 1,250 m3/hr

Danieli Engineering, which specializes in the engineering of industrial plants and acts as general contractor for turnkey projects, asked for a ten-cell cooling tower for one of its water treatment plants in the Domenican Republic Specifications were clear: Danieli asked for an FRP cooling tower over a concrete basin with a splash PP fill. Design was according to field conditions – as requested

Year: 2006

Construction Material: Cement

Concrete

Water Flow: 7,500 m3/hr

As part of Carmel Olefins' (CO) expansion, YWCT was asked to increase the cooling capacity of both CO's ethylene plant and its polyethylene plant. A three-cell structure measuring 12m X 12m per cell was designed for the former, and a two-cell measuring 12m X 12m per cell was designed for the latter.

Nesher Power PlantNesher Power Plant

Year: 2008

Construction: Pultruded FRP

Water Flow: 2,000 m3/hr

Nesher is a manufacturer of cement. The hard conditions on site (which is full of corrosive dust), dictated a heard duty solution. Two cells pultruded FRP tower over concrete basin was designed and built.

Water Flow: 120 m3/hr

Ludan Engineering needed a system to cool a Shell-N-Tube heat exchanger as part of a water treatment plant. YWCT provided a complete skid-mounted system that included two packaged cooling towers, redundant pumps, an automatic filter, and chemical dosing and bleeding system with all piping and gauges required as a plug-N-play system.

ROTEM AMFERT NEGEV PLANTROTEM AMFERT NEGEV PLANT

Year: 1996

Construction Material: Cement

Concrete, Wood

Water Flow: 8,000 m3/hr

High level of fluoride in the water dictated an extraordinary combination of a draft force concrete cement tower. The inner part of the concrete was fully coated with rubber in order to protect it from the fluoride. For the same reason, wood was chosen as infrastructure. All metal parts are made of HAST alloy.

Year: 2007

Construction: Hand Laid FRP

YWCT was asked by Siemens Water Technologies Corp., USA to manufacture an FRP biofilter vessel based on Siemens' own design. YWCT designed and created the set of molds required for the work and delivered the vessel on spec, on time

Year: 2000

Construction Material:FRP and HDG

Water Flow: 3,600 m3/hr

In 1999, YWCT was asked to plan and build a cooling tower for the new terminal at Ben-Gurion Airport (TLV). A concrete basin elevated from the ground was designed. The basin's height increased the efficiency of the pumps; and the space under the basin is utilized for storage. An HDG structure covered with pultruded FRP was erected over the basin

Year: 2002

Construction Material:Cement

Concrete

Water Flow: 1,500 m3/hr

In order to overcome an air circulation problem, YWCT designed a round concrete cement structure containing 24 centrifugal fan units that force the air outward.

Year: 2008

Construction: Hand Laid FRP

Water Flow: 1,400 m3/hr

As part of one of the first Green Building projects in Isreal YWCT was asked to provide 2100TN cooling towers. Noise level was decreased to minimum using a combination of quiet fans, VFDs and sound attenuators.

TOWER SEMI-CONDUCTORTOWER SEMI-CONDUCTOR

Year: 2001

Construction: Pultruded FRP

Water Flow: 5,000 m3/hr

A five-cell induced draft cooling tower made of pultruded FRP, made to comply with Tower Semiconductor's high standards. The structure was built on YWCT's premises, dismantled to three main parts, and reassembled on site.
