Características deseables para los cultivos:
Se adapten a las condiciones edafo-climáticas del lugar
Tengan altos niveles de productividad en biomasa con bajos costes de producción
No tengan aprovechamiento alimentario
Fácil manejo, corte y extracción
No contribuyan a degradar el medio ambiente
Permita una rotación corta
(poda anual bi-anual y rebrote)

“Procesos de biorrefinería alternativos e integración de plataformas
químicas y termoquímicas para el fraccionamiento sostenible de

Objetivos generales de ambos proyectos El objetivo general es lograr la
sostenibilidad y renovabilidad de recursos
energéticos/industriales a través de la
utilización de biomasa lignocelulósica,
Principalmente la obtenida de:
a) Vegetales de alto rendimiento regeneradores de
suelos (leguminosas): Incluye la selección de
especies de alta producción y la tecnología para la
conversión convertirla en productos químicos o
energía.
b) Residuos agroalimentarios. Incluye la selección
temporal y secuencial de residuos y la tecnología para
la conversión
Los objetivos concretos de los proyectos se centran en
el desarrollo de procesos/secuencias de
biorrefinería integral para el fraccionamientos
sostenible de vegetales de alta producción, utilizados en
recuperación de suelos degradados, y de residuos
agroalimentarios agrícolas.
