The following photographs were taken by Toms Tom Grilloand Francisco Solrzano FRASSO on February 27, 1989,the day of the El Caracazo riots in Venezuela that shook thecountry. Grillo and Solrzano won multiple internationalawards for these photographs, including the King of SpainPrize in 1989 and an award from the Inter American PressSociety in 1990.
