• I attended English classes several times a week in order toassist the teacher in delivering the lesson. This included:

I studied French, Spanish and Portuguese to degreelevel. The third year was spent abroad; 16 weeks at theUniversity of Perpignan, France and a further 20 weeksat the University of Valencia, Spain.

 The degree examined each language and looked closelyat the French, Spanish and Portuguese speakingcountries over the world. Oral classes focused on the

culture as the lectures looked more closely at thehistory. Translations were done on a daily basis toimprove communication in each language; Portugueseoral presentations were done on a weekly basis andFrench and Spanish presentations were done on amonthly basis both in groups and individually. Themajority of modules studied were literature based, Ianalysed a variety of works by Proust, Jean-Paul Sartre,Rafael Sanchez Ferlosio and Luis Martin Santos
