Nepal era sorprendida este pasado sbado 25 de abril con un gran terremotoque a da dehoy tiene un balance de ms de 4.000 muertos. El terremoto, con una escala de 7, grados en la

escala de Richter ,sera el equivalente a la explosin de 32.000 bombas

atmicassobre la misma !ona.

Este sismo es sin duda uno de los peoresdesastres naturales ocurridos en el "imalaya.Aparte de devastar Katmand, la capital y ciudad mayor de Nepal, tambi#n se sinti$ en el%bet., en el norte de la &ndia y 'angladesh.

El surgimiento de terremotos en esta zona del planeta no es extrao, ya queestalocalizacin est cataloada como de alta pelirosidad ssmica: laplaca tectnica de la India se va deslizando y choca violentamente (y frontalmente) contra la

placa de Eurasia este choque continuo va acumulando tensiones !eol!icas que finalmente

El hecho de que la construcci$n de las casas y edi(icios se base en mampostera no
